I woke up this morning with this idea freshly in my mind. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had such good luck.
I always hear people complain about how they’ll never be a “true” artist because they didn’t suffer. Coming from a middle-class suburban lifestyle, I can almost see what those people are saying. That’s the inspiration behind First World Problems: The Movie
It follows an aspiring teenage writer who is consumed with the idea that he’ll never amount to any true literary wit because he has been given a good healthy life from his parents.
His wish comes true one day when he wakes up and finds himself in much worse conditions. He’s gone from living in average American suburban home, to an lower class urban shithole with less than loving parents.
At first, he sees it as a blessing, as his writing is taking on a whole new realistic level, but then slowly realizes that it’s not exactly worth it…
